Ember Therapeutics, a Boston-based biotech startup focused on brown fat biology and insulin sensitization, has raised $34 million in Series A funding led by Third Rock Ventures. www.embertx.com

Prezi, a San Francisco-based provider of zooming presentation software, has raised $14 million in Series B funding. Accel Partners led the round, and was joined by return backer Sunstone Capital.www.prezi.com

Sotera Wireless, a San Diego-based developer of mobile health monitoring devices, has raised $12.2 million in Series D funding. EDBI led the round, and was joined by Cerner Capital and return backers Sanderling Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Intel Capital and West Health Investment Fund.www.soterawireless.com

CarWoo, an online car purchasing platform, has raised $6 million in new VC funding. Backers include Interwest Partners, Comcast Ventures and Blumberg Capital. www.carwoo.com

Montage Talent, a Delafield, Wis.-based provider of video interviewing solutions, has raised $3 million in new VC funding. Baird Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by GCI and Calumet Venture Fund. www.montagetalent.com
