MeLLmo Inc., a San Diego-based provider of mobile applications that allow users to view and interact with business information, has raised $30 million in its first institutional round of funding. Sequoia Capital led the round. www.roambi.com

Alphabet Energy Inc., a San Francisco-based developer of low-cost thermoelectric materials for waste-heat recovery, has raised $12 million in Series A funding. TPG Biotech led the round, and was joined by return backers Claremont Creek Ventures and the CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund.www.alphabetenergy.com

LiveIntent, a New York-based provider of real-time display ad serving within email, has raised $8 million in Series B funding. Shasta Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Battery Ventures, First Round Capital and Grape Arbor VC. www.liveintent.com

Gamerizon, a Montreal-based developer of mobile games like ChopChop, has raised C$5 million in new VC funding. Vanedge Capital led the round, and was joined by iNovia Capital. www.gamerizon.com

Greenphire Inc., a King of Prussia, Penn.-based provider of web-based payment and communication technologies for the healthcare clinical trials industry, has raised $1.5 million in Series A funding led byFirstMark Capital. www.greenphire.com

Powermat, a developer of wireless charging solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Duracell battery owner Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), as part of a larger strategic partnership. Powermat previously raised funds from GM Ventures. www.powermat.com

Chegg, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based online marketplace for textbook rentals, has acquired Zinch, an online social network that helps young people apply to schools. No financial terms were disclosed. Chegg has raised around $165 million in VC funding, from Ace Ltd., Foundation Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Gabriel Venture Partners and Primera Capital. Zinch had been backed by New World Ventures.www.chegg.com

 

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

InMobi, an India-based mobile advertising network, has raised $200 million in private equity funding from Softbank. The company previously raised around $15 million over two rounds of funding from Sherpalo Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. www.inmobi.com

FireHost, a Dallas-based secure cloud hosting company, has raised $10 million in Series B funding from The Stephens Group. www.firehost.com

NABsys Inc., a Providence, R.I.-based developer of solid-state electronic systems for single-molecule DNA sequencing and analysis, has raised $10 million in Series C funding led by Stata Venture Partners. www.nabsys.com

Omni-ID, a Roochester, N.Y.-based provider of passive UHF RFID tags, has raised nearly $8 million in new VC funding led by Trillium Group. www.omni-id.com

Mertado, a Redwood City, Calif.-based social shopping company focused on home and kitchen goods, has raised $2.3 million in Series A funding. Rustic Canyon Partners was joined by seed backers Blumberg Capital and Redpoint Ventures. www.mertado.com

SaveUp, a San Francisco-based rewards program for personal savings, has raised $2 million in seed capital from BlueRun Ventures and True Ventures. www.saveup.com

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

RF Surgical Systems Inc., a Bellevue, Wash.-based company focused on the prevention and detection of retained surgical items, has raised $12 million in new VC funding. Split Rock Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers Menlo Ventures and Stanford University. www.rfsurgical.com

Spectrum Bridge Inc., a Lake Mary, Fla.-based operator of an online secondary market for radio spectrum, has raised $8.8 million in Series B funding. Return backers include True Ventures, Telecommunications Development Fund and Espírito Santo Ventures. www.spectrumbridge.com

Red Robot Labs, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based mobile gaming company whose lead title is Life Is Crime, has raised $8.5 million in Series A funding. Benchmark Capital led the round, and was joined by Shasta Ventures and return backers Rick Thompson (co-founder of Playdom) and Chamath Palihapitiya (ex-Facebook). www.redrobotlabs.com

Zetta, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of enterprise cloud storage solutions, has raised $9 million in Series C funding from return backers Foundation Capital and Sigma Partners. www.zetta.net

Miracor Medical Systems GmbH, an Austrian developer of cardiac medical devices, has raised €7 million in the first close of its Series B round. Backers include Austria Wirtschaftsservice, SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement and return backers Earlybird and Delta Partners.

meQuilibrium, a Boston-based provider of Web-based stress management solutions, has raised $2.3 million in Series A funding. Chrysalis Ventures led the round, and was joined by RIME Communications Capital and individual angels. www.mequilibrium.com

Weemba, a Miami, Fla.-based site for helping borrowers and professional lenders connect online, has raised $2.4 million in VC funding from Breslau Capital Partners. www.weemba.com

AI Exchange, a Boston-based provider of managed account platforms for alternative investments, has raised around $1.5 million in VC funding. General Catalyst Partners and CommonAngels co-led the round, and were joined by Founder Collective and LaunchCapital. www.aiexchange.com

Boulder Wind Power, a Boulder, Colo.-based developer of direct-drive wind turbine generators for utility scale electricity generation, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Molycorp Inc. (NYSE: MCP). The company previously raised $8 million in Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates.www.boulderwindpower.com

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

AM-Pharma BV, a Dutch developer of Alkaline Phosphatase for the treatment of severe inflammatory diseases, has raised €29.2 million in Series D funding. Ysios Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by Kurma Life Science Partners, Abbott Labs, Shire PLC, BB Biotech Ventures, Idinvest Partners and return backers Forbion Capital Partners and Inventages Venture Capital. www.am-pharma.com

Tremor Video, a New York-based online video advertising network, has raised $37 million in new VC funding. W Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by Keating Capital, Canaan, DFJ Growth, General Catalyst Partners, Meritech Capital Partners, EDBI, Time Warner and SAP Ventures. No word yet on how much of the deal was a secondary, since that is what W Capital primarily engages in.www.tremorvideo.com

SuperDimension Ltd., a Minneapolis-based developer of minimally-invasive interventional pulmonology devices, has raised $11 million in new VC funding. Covidien Ventures was joined by return backers Advent International, CIBC World Markets, Gemini Israel Funds, Medica Venture Partners, OrbiMed Advisors, Oxford Bioscience Partners and Pitango Venture Capital. www.superdimension.com

Xignite Inc., a San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of financial market data in the cloud, has raised $10 million in Series B funding. StarVest Partners was joined by individual angels and return backers like Altos Ventures and Startup Ventures. www.xignite.com

BonitaSoft, a San Francisco-based provider of open source business process management solutions, has raised $11 million in Series B funding. Serena Capital led the round, and was joined by return backers Ventech and Auriga Partners. www.bonitasoft.com

ReGen Energy Inc., a Toronto-based developer of a wireless swarm-logic energy demand management platform, has raised C$5.5 million in VC funding from NGEN Partners and BDC Venture Capital.www.regenenergy.com

Automated Content (f.k.a. StatSheet), a Durham, N.C.-based provider of software that turns data into narrative content, has raised $4 million in new VC funding. Court Square Ventures and OCA Venturesco-led the round, and were joined by return backer IDEA Fund Partners. www.statsheet.com

Wattpad, a multi-media website that lets users interact and share stories, has raised $3.5 million in Series A funding. Union Square Ventures led the round, and was joined by W Media Ventures and Golden Venture Partners. www.wattpad.com

Getaround, a peer-to-peer car-sharing services, has raised $3.4 million in seed funding. Backers include CrunchFund, Redpoint Ventures, Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph and Vivi Nevo.www.getaround.com

Pixel Qi Corp., a San Bruno, Calif.-based developer of next-gen LCD panels, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from 3M New Ventures. www.pixelqi.com

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

10gen, developer of the MongoDB on-relational database, has raised $20 million in new VC funding. Sequoia Capital led the round, and was joined by fellow return backers Flybridge Capital Partners and Union Square Ventures. www.10gen.com

Theraclone Sciences Inc., a Seattle-based developer of therapeutic antibodies, has raised $10.6 million in new Series B funding. The round total is now $41 million. Return backers include ARCH Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, MPM Capital, Healthcare Ventures, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Amgen Ventures and Zenyaku Kogyo. www.theraclone.com

FilterBoxx Water & Environmental Corp., a Calgary-based provider of packaged potable water and wastewater treatment systems, has raised C$9 million in new VC funding. Return backers include XPV Capital and EnerTech Capital. www.filterboxx.com
