There is always a bull market somewhere, I seem to have heard someone say. As it happens, today it is in teddy bears.
Take a look at this afternoon’s action in Build-a-Bear Workshop (BBW), which surged 33% after Bloomberg reported the St. Louis-based firm approached potential private equity buyers.
Bloomberg sagely notes that CEO Maxine Clark calls herself the “chief executive bear” on the firm’s Web site, though that’s not all you’ll find there. Take this nugget, which surely will be of interest as the barbarians consider whether to storm this particular gate.
