Google Analytics just got an upgrade today, and it appears to have fixed something that was bugging me about the online traffic analysis tool.
On my main Dashboard page, “Avg. Time on Site” was consistently quite low – less than a minute. This didn’t square with the stats on the Content pages that showed people were spending several minutes on the most popular pages. How could they be spending longer on individual pages than they were on the site? That’s like saying someone spent more time in California than they spent in the United States.
As of today, “Avg. Time on Site” appears to be squaring with what I see on the content pages. More from the Google Analytics Blog here.
