A reader from St. Louis writes:

It is with interest that I read all of these bad boss stories and profiles. As someone who has had bad bosses, been a bad boss, been a good boss, been a bad employee, been a good employee the angle that I want to hear more about is bad employees.

Managers at all levels are overworked, understaffed and generally trying to do the right thing. All of this is often compounded by employees that lack a work ethic, spend huge amount of time thinking of strategies to undermine their boss and the company, possess a variety of personality disorders and the list goes on and on. If every employee had to be a manager or boss for 2 years they would never be the same again.

Management is the most thankless and demanding job in America and employees are often the most dysfunctional individuals in the room. However, you never see that perspective in the media, maybe it doesn’t play well or get readers.
