Upon graduating college last year and entering the job market, I could not help but notice in the interviewing process the most useless but profitable job ever – Diversity Expert (in Human Resources Division). These “tools,” for lack of a better word, actually get paid top dollar to go around to colleges and talk about how important diversity is in their companies’ workplace. Then they talk to recruits about what makes them diverse and how this contributes to the workplace. The funniest part is, they believe the company created their job as a serious position, and not just one to cover their backs.
