Just a few ways to be profitably and pleasantly (if uselessly) employed, from Stanley Bing’s book, “100 Bulls**t Jobs and How to Get Them” (Harper Collins).
A reader from Maryland writes:
I am a Quality Analyst with a major health insurance agency in the
US. The job consists of looking over submitted information to verify that others are doing their jobs better. It is a mundane job that could drive you crazy. I get to work from home more than half of the week and my boss actually likes me. When I work home I usually do most of my work the night before and then I can take a break the next day. I have meetings to go to but one day I mentioned to my boss that she should only have them on certain days (my days actually in the office) and she’s never had them any other time since. I have to do a few things that are not in my job description, but of course, the benefits outweigh that. And I’m up for my second raise in 6 mths.
Readers, what do you think? Is this a bulls**t job?
