So, if Congress really wants to secure our financial borders properly, it needs to wake up and support the SEC. There are enough banks out there willing to gamble with our economic future without our politicians aiding it too. In fact, even the Madoff whistleblower Harry Markopolos, one of the biggest critics of the SEC, has acknowledged that he is impressed by the changes at the agency.
If Markopolos can be impressed, the rest of us should be too.
