Even if President Donald Trump completely dismantles existing environmental regulations, many of the country’s corporate giants say they don’t plan to capitalize on that.
Companies including Apple, Walmart, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Ikea, Nestle, Proctor & Gamble, Levi Strauss, and Best Buy all say they plan to stick to a 2015 environmental pledge they signed during the Obama administration, Bloomberg reports.
Separately, General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt wrote in a company blog post obtained by Politico that “we believe climate change should be addressed on a global basis through multi-national agreements, such as the Paris Agreement.”
Earlier in the week, Trump signed an executive order cutting back on some Obama era clean energy and climate policies.
