A Philadelphia man known as “Philly Jesus” was found guilty of trespassing in an Apple store this week.
Michael Grant, who roams the City of Brotherly Love as Jesus and carries a large cross, was found guilty for an incident in May in which he refused to leave a Philadelphia Apple store. A store manager said Grant’s 7-ft. cross was blocking an aisle in the store, the Associated Press reported.
According to Philly.com, Grant owns an iPhone and has a large social media presence. He frequents Apple stores to charge his phone and post updates.
Despite the ruling, Grant maintained his Jesus-like qualities, and told reporters he forgives the judge and the justice system for “trespassing against” him, “for they know not what they do.”
Grant’s attorney argued that his client believed he was asked to leave because of his religious beliefs. He was sentenced to three months probation, which his attorney said he would appeal.
