Venture Capital Deals

RetailNext, a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of in-store data analytics for retailers, has raised $30 million in new VC funding, according to TechCrunch. Nokia Growth Partners led the round, and was joined by Qualcomm Ventures, Tyco, Activant Capital Groupm, AMEX Ventures and return backers August Capital, StarVest Partners and Commerce Ventures. www.retailnext.com

Cloudian Inc., a Foster City, Calif.-based provider of hybrid cloud storage solutions, has raised $24 million in new VC funding. INCJ and Fidelity Growth Partners led the round, and were joined by return backers like Intel Capital. www.cloudian.com

Xapo, a Bitcoin ‘vault’ startup, has raised $20 million in Series A-1 funding. Greylock Partners andIndex Ventures co-led the round, and were joined by Emergence Capital Partners, Max Levchin, Yuri Milner, and Jerry Yang. The company had raised a $20 million first tranche back in March, from Benchmark, Fortress Investment Group and Ribbit Capital. www.xapo.com

Curse Inc., a Huntsville, Ala.-based gaming services company, has raised $16 million in Series B funding led by GGV Capital. The company also secured $6 million in venture debt from Multiplier Capital. www.curse.com

Sophia Genetics, a Swiss provider of storage and analysis solutions for patient genome sequence information and data, has raised $13.75 million in Series B funding. Backers include Invoke Capital, Swisscom and Endeavour Vision. www.sophiagenetics.com

Mint Solutions, an Iceland-based maker of medication identification scanning devices for hospital nurses, has raised around $6 million in Series A funding co-led by Life Sciences Partners andSeventure Partners. www.mint.is

Spark.io, an open-source Internet-of-things tookit, has raised $4.9 million in Series A funding. Lion Wells Capital led the round, and was joined by Collaborative Fund, OATV and SOSventures.www.spark.io

Applitools, an Israel-based provider of cloud-based automated visual testing of web and mobile apps, has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding from Magma Venture Partners. www.applitools.com

FishBrain, a Sweden-based mobile app and social network for anglers, has raised $2.4 million in new VC funding. Northzone and Active Venture Partners co-led the round, and were joined by GP Bullhound and Edastra Venture Capital and individual angels. www.fishbrain.com

GetYou
, an Israel–based social feedback platform, has raised $1.1 million in seed funding fromRDSeed and individual angel investors like Wix founder Avishai Abrahami. www.getyou.com

mBlox Inc.
, a Sunnyvale, Calif.–based provider of application-to-person text messaging, has raised $43.5 million in new equity and debt financing. Participants include Horizon Technology Finance Corp. ($25m loan), Comerica, Norwest Venture Partners, Scale Ventures, Avanti, Trident, Stratem and Saints Capital. www.mblox.com

Private Equity Deals

Accellos and Highjump Software have merged into a single provider of supply chain managing software and trading partner network technology. No financial terms were disclosed. The company will operate under the name HighJump, while Accellos founder and CEO Michael Cornell will serve as CEO. Accellos is a portfolio company of Accel-KKR, while HighJump is backed by Battery Ventures.www.highjump.com

Marlin Equity Partners has agreed to acquire the Arcserve data protection business of CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA). No financial terms were disclosed. www.arcserve.com

MidOcean Partners has made a “significant minority equity investment” in Nutrabolt (f.k.a. Woodbolt Distribution), a Bryan, Texas–based maker of sports nutrition products under the Cellucor brand.www.cellucor.com

Opus Global has acquired Hiperos LLC, a Southborough, Mass.–based provider of third party management software, for an undisclosed amount. Opus Global is a $500 million investment platform formed last fall by private equity firm GTCR and ex-Verifone CEO Doug Bergeron. www.hiperos.com

StoneCalibre has acquired Edge Biosystems Inc., a Gaithersburg, Md.-based maker and distributor of sample preparation and clean-up products for use in DNA sequencing. No financial terms were disclosed. www.stonecalibre.com

Vector Capital has acquired IPValue Management Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.–based provider of IP transactional and advisory services for tech companies and R&D labs, from shareholders like General Atlantic. No financial terms were disclosed. www.ipvalue.com

IPOs

Cafe Coffee Day, an Indian coffee shop chain, is planning an IPO for later this year, according to the WSJ. The float could value Café Coffee Day at between $1.1 billion and $1.3 billion. Shareholders include KKR, Standard Chartered Private Equity and New Silk Route. www.cafecoffeeday.com

Pfenex Inc., a San Diego-based developer of treatments for wet AMD, has set its IPO terms to 5 million shares being offered at between $12 and $14 per share. It would have an initial market cap of approximately $198 million, were it to price in the middle of its range. The company plans to trade on the NYSE under ticker symbol PFNX, while William Blair and JMP Securities served as lead underwriters. The company reports a $4 million net loss on around $12 million in revenue for 2013. Shareholders include Dow Chemical Co. (51.42% pre-IPO stake) and Signet Healthcare Partners (33.05%). www.pfenex.com

TubeMogul
, an Emeryville, Calif.-based video marketing company, has set its IPO terms to 6.25 million shares being offered at between $11 and $13 per share. It would have an initial market cap of approximately $344 million, were it to price in the middle of its range. The company plans to trade on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol TUBE, with BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and RBC Capital Markets serving as lead underwriters. It reports a $7.4 million net loss on $57 million in revenue for 2013, compared to a $3.5 million net loss on $34 million in revenue for 2012. Shareholders include Trinity Ventures (26.5% pre-IPO stake), Foundation Capital (22.7%), Northgate Capital (8%), SingTel Group, Cross Creek Capital and Digital Advertising Consortium.www.tubemogul.com

M&A

InvenSense Inc. (NYSE: INVN) has agreed to acquire Movea, a French provider of software for ultra-low power location, activity tracking and context sensing. No financial terms were disclosed. No financial terms were disclosed. Sellers include Intel Capital, GIMV and iSource. www.movea.com

Techne Corp. (Nasdaq: TECH) has acquired Novus Biologicals, a Littleton, Colo.-based supplier of antibodies and other reagents for life science research, for $60 million in cash from Mainsail Partnersand company management. www.novusbio.com

TPG Growth has sold its minority stake in Transportadora de Gas Internacional, a Colombian gas transportation business, to majority shareholder Empresa de Energia de Bogota for $880 million.www.tgi.com.co

Tele2 (Oslo: TEL2) has agreed to sell its Norwegian business to TeliaSonera (Oslo: TLSN) for approximately $744 million. www.tele2.com
