Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski made waves in February when she said she would not book Kellyanne Conway, a top adviser to President Donald Trump, on her show. Now she’s saying other television programs should follow suit.
“I feel even more so that everyone should ban her,” Brzezinski told Variety in an interview with her co-host Joe Scarborough. “It’s clear she doesn’t know exactly what she’s talking about. It’s clear she’s making it up as she goes along.”
“I think it denigrates what we do,” she said.
Conway has become a household name thanks her dogged defense of Trump on TV — and her deployment of the oft-mocked term “alternative facts.”
Brzezinski also said its “unbelievable” that Conway has such a high ranking position in the White House, and believes it says a lot about Trump’s presidency. And, she said, she’s named her microwave after Conway, a reference to an interview Conway gave to a New Jersey newspaper in which she said the appliance could be used for surveillance.
