Amazon.com (AMZN) CEO Jeff Bezos became the latest tech CEO to respond to Donald Trump’s election victory.
“Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump” Bezos tweeted Thursday morning. “I for one give him my most open mind and wish him great success in his service to the country.”

While Trump’s election has inspired panic in a number of Silicon Valley leaders, Bezos’s neutral comments echoed the recent tone struck by leaders such as Salesforce (CRM) CEO Marc Benioff and Facebook’s (FB) Mark Zuckerberg.

In the past, Bezos and Trump have not exactly seen eye to eye. Bezos, who owns the Washington Post, has called out Trump’s antagonism toward the media this year, telling an audience at Recode’s Code Conference in May that “the most important office in world should expect to be scrutinized.”
Trump put the Post on his media blacklist this year, and has said Bezos has “a huge antitrust problem” due to his ownership of both Amazon and the Washington Post.
