Hillary Clinton Beat Donald Trump in the Second Presidential Debate, Polls Say

Oct 10, 2016

Hillary Clinton defeated Donald Trump in the second presidential debate Sunday evening, according to two polls.

A CNN/ORC poll found that 57% of voters who watched the debate thought Clinton won, compared to 34% for Trump. A YouGov poll found a smaller margin for Clinton, 47% to 42%.

A quarter of debate watchers in the CNN poll said that Trump's response to a question about a leaked video of him bragging about groping women left them with a less favorable view of the Republican candidate. More than half of respondents said Trump's comments did not change their views.

CNN's survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
