Mercedes-AMG is the high performance division of Mercedes, producing cars with looks and power to match.

AMG, born out of a mission to develop and test racing engines for Mercedes vehicles, just revealed its new 2017 C63 Coupe.

Reportedly set for release in the U.S. in the summer of 2016, the new Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S boast impressive stats:

Displacement: 3982 cc / 3982 cc
Output: 469 hp at 5500-6250 rpm / 503 hp at 5500-6250 rpm
Peak torque: 479 lb-ft at 1750-4500 rpm / 516 lb-ft at 1750-4500 rpm
Curb weight (European specification): 3,770 lbs / 3,803 lbs
Acceleration: 0-60 mph 3.9 s / 3.8 s
Top speed: 155 mph / 180 mph

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG, said in a press release: “In addition, we are making a bold visual statement with the muscular design. Our customers can therefore experience the progress with each of their senses: seeing, hearing, feeling and, above all, driving!”

The visual changes to this C63 model — aggressive air vents, a more warped and leaning hood, and flared wheel arches — give this model a look to match its roaring exhaust.

Car and Driver reports: “When it comes to market here next August, the Mercedes-AMG C63 coupes will cost slightly more than their sedan analogues (low $70,000s for the non-S and low $80,000s for the S).”

The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe will be premiered Sept. 15, 2015, at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
