“There's no doubt there's a skilled trade shortage now.” At the Fortune COO Summit, Dycom Industries CEO Dan Peyovich said it's a great time to be in the skilled trades, but finding workers has become more challenging as fewer people enter the workforce with hands-on experience. “You're taking somebody that was playing Xbox on mom and dad's couch and you're going to try and upskill them to be out in the elements, working with tools. That's a tall order,” Peyovich said.
