Let's put two minutes on the clock. All right. Bob, go. ROBERT HACKETT: Look, Andrew, I am sorely disappointed in Apple. ANDREW NUSCA: Of course. ROBERT HACKETT: I'm not upset. I'm disappointed. ANDREW NUSCA: Disappointed? ROBERT HACKETT: Look, Apple is a company that has prided itself on being innovative, pushing boundaries, and making tech that everybody needs to absolutely buy because it's just cutting edge and awesome and out there. That is not what these laptops are, by any means. ANDREW NUSCA: Why not? ROBERT HACKETT: They're actually kind of sad. ANDREW NUSCA: Sad? ROBERT HACKETT: They've had incremental innovations on them. There's no killer feature at all. ANDREW NUSCA: This is a MacBook Pro that is three pounds in it's 13-inch size, three pounds. ROBERT HACKETT: [INAUDIBLE] ANDREW NUSCA: That's the same height weight as the MacBook Air. You're telling me that's not innovative? ROBERT HACKETT: I should know, I use that every day at work. ANDREW NUSCA: That's not innovative? Come on. ROBERT HACKETT: It is not innovative. Look at the one feature that they highly touted during their last product launch, the touch bar. The touch bar. Tell me that is innovative. Go-- explain to me how this one-- this line on the top of your computer where you can slide back and forth is innovative. ANDREW NUSCA: Are you trying to tell me that physical keys on a keyboard is the way forward? That's how we get into the future? ROBERT HACKETT: That's-- How ridiculous. Of course, not. ANDREW NUSCA: Come on. When is the last time you used a function key? ROBERT HACKETT: Look, get rid of the function keys. I'm all for rejecting those off of the computing platform. ANDREW NUSCA: [INAUDIBLE] ROBERT HACKETT: Get rid of them, we don't need them. However, look, Microsoft is already building laptops where you can touch the screen, manipulate them like an iPad almost-- ANDREW NUSCA: Sure. And how Surfaces does it really sell? I mean, come on. ROBERT HACKETT: Yeah, but look, this is a category that Microsoft now can take over because Apple is dropping the ball. ANDREW NUSCA: Apple has the iPad. It doesn't need to turn the MacBook into an iPad. ROBERT HACKETT: They have this lame excuse for an interactive interface-- [INTERPOSING VOICES] ROBERT HACKETT: --with this touch bar, then they can have an entire scree that you can manipulate. ANDREW NUSCA: Plenty to like about the new MacBook Pro, OK? It's got the best retina display in the whole MacBook line, right? The colors are gorgeous, it's great, right? I already mentioned it's very, very light. It's obviously got the fastest chips. I mean, this is a beautiful piece of machinery. And the laptop's been around a long time. How much do you expect? ROBERT HACKETT: No way. Look, this is called the MacBook Pro for a reason. It's supposed to be for professionals. But look at all of the ports on it. They've got rid of it. There's no SD card slot, there's no HDMI cable, and they went with a new USB cord that is gross. [BUZZ] ANDREW NUSCA: But there's a headphone jack, and that's what pros use. ROBERT HACKETT: Terrible. This is looking at Apple is a company that has prided itself on being innovative, pushing boundaries and, you know, making tack that every absolutely buy because it's just cutting edge and awesome and out there. That is not what these laptops are by any means. They're actually kind of said they had incremental innovation on them. If that's not innovative, come on. It is not innovative. Look at the one feature that they highly touted during their last product. Launch the touch bar, the touch bar. Tell me that, Innovative. Go explicitly. How this one This line on the top? Yeah. Are you going live agony? More innovative vehicle keys on a keyboard is the way forward. That's how we get you a deal. However, look, Microsoft is already building laptops where you can touch the screen, manipulate them like an iPad or so many surfaces. Doesn't really sell. I mean, come on. Yeah, but look, this is a category that Microsoft now can take over because Apple is dropping the ball. Apple has our iPad. It hasn't need laying there in the mangle on interactive, uh, interfaces with this touch enough for this year. And they haven't in Thailand doing that.
