A Look Back at Facebook's Tumultuous 2018

The calendar can't turn quickly enough for the social media giant.

Tech giant, Facebook, is facing scrutiny this week. It has happened again. And it is a biggie for Facebook. Facebook stock tanking. Another major setback for Facebook. [MUSIC PLAYING] This was a major breach of trust. And I'm really sorry that this happened. You know, we have a basic responsibility to protect people's data. And if we can't do that, then we don't deserve to have the opportunity to serve people. [MUSIC PLAYING] You did not know how many other firms have been sold data by Dr. Kogan other than Cambridge Analytica. You have a long history of growth and success. But you also have a long list of apologies. That much influence comes will enormous social responsibility on which you have failed to act. [MUSIC PLAYING] Facebook under siege, once again, revealing, today, that nearly 50 million users were hacked. [MUSIC PLAYING] Cheryl is a really important part of this company and is leading a lot of the efforts to address a lot of the biggest issues that we have. And she's been an important partner for me for 10 years. And I'm really proud of the work that we've done together. From the review that I've done so far, it doesn't appear that anything that the group said was untrue. [MUSIC PLAYING]
