Engineers run flight simulations in the Orion Integrated Test Laboratory (ITL) located at Lockheed Martin’s Waterton facility near Littleton, CO. The ITL has a full identical set of avionics, harnessing, sensors and flight software of Orion. Using this real flight-like hardware and software, the lab is used to simulate and test every aspect of the EM-1 mission from launch to splash down.
