Recently Omada acquired Physera for $30 million, adding physical therapy to its portfolio of digital care programs for common high-cost conditions. Omada is not only a leader in tech and machine learning–the San Francisco-based company has published 14 peer-reviewed studies overall demonstrating the effectiveness of its work. Omada reports a valuation of $600 million and has raised over $250 million; its backers include the venture arms of healthcare providers, including Cigna Ventures and Kaiser Permanente Ventures.
