Plains GP Holdings is the parent of Plains All American Pipeline (PAA), which provides infrastructure and logistics services for crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquid supplies in U.S. and Canadian hubs—an estimated 4 million barrels daily. By targeting production growth areas, the pipeline provider increased revenue by 29.9% to $34.1 billion and net income more than doubled to $2.2 billion. Fracking by smaller producers in the Permian Basin in the Southwest attracted majors including Chevron and Exxon Mobil, driving a 31% increase in the region. A deleveraging plan adopted in 2017, which has so far included asset sales of $1.3 billion, buoyed PAA’s cash flow and reduced debt.
