Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., employees say the large law firm has a "small-firm dynamic." There also doesn't seem to be much of a glass ceiling: 91% of Baker Donelson's employees say the company often or almost always makes fair promotions. The firm throws a series of fun events, from ice cream socials to potlucks, and also offers perks including on-site yoga and opportunities for paid and unpaid sabbaticals. And orientation apparently smooths the on-boarding process: Says one employee, "I have never worked in a place that presented such robust training and welcome at the start of my hire."
