Scripps Health has made the 100 Best Companies list 12 times. It’s not difficult to understand why.
The San Diego–based nonprofit treats more than 700,000 patients and employs over 15,000 people. That’s inherently gratifying for its workers. But what really stands out is Scripps’s desire to promote caregivers and to build up employees’ careers (it spent $33.5 million on a training and investing round last year alone). Workers say Scripps’s own CEO is personally invested in such projects.
