The Photoshop maker has been a big hit on Wall Street in recent years, with the company’s shares reaching historic highs. But despite Adobe’s boom, the company still values work/life balance. Each year, Adobe shuts down for the weeks of July Fourth and Christmas, something that's quite unusual for a Silicon Valley tech business. The company also offers unlimited PTO, 26 weeks’ paid leave for new mothers, and four- to six-week sabbaticals for every five years of service. One employee says: “I so appreciate our paid sabbaticals! After five years, you get four weeks off paid, and you can combine it with other time off or shutdowns.”
