TCG, Inc. provides the federal government with custom IT solutions and consulting services in agile development, federal shared services, budget formulation and execution, and health science analytics. TCG’s origins were in a $10,000 government contract with the National Institutes of Health, that its founder and current president, Daniel Turner, applied for after graduating from college. That project evolved into what became one of the first government web applications and the first federal shared service. Twenty-six years and more than 140 employees later, TCG is a thriving federal IT contractor based in the Shepherd Park neighborhood of Washington D.C.
TCG is a certified B-Corporation with a mission to improve the world in big and little ways every day. In 2019-2020, TCG made national, state, and local parks the focus of the company’s community service. TCG employees participated in several park cleanup events, raised awareness for parks and environmental issues, and adopted a small underutilized park near headquarters. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it pivoted to focus on supporting food-insecure families. The company has since donated the equivalent of approximately 12,500 meals to local families.
