Blaisdell’s Business Products (BBP) first opened its doors as a small, store-front office supply company in 1950. As the needs of business professionals changed, BBP adjusted its business from a community storefront to an online, single-source supplier. Its focus shifted from retail sales to directly supplying businesses with products and services they need to achieve a great workday. Aside from basic pens and paper, BBP offers a wide variety of breakroom, technology, janitorial, and safety products. Its ergonomic accessories and office furniture are also paired with consultation, design, and installation services.
The Oakland-based company is dedicated to rebuilding a better community by focusing on its four pillars of participation: public service, collaboration, contribution, and recognition. It actively engages in monthly volunteer projects, sponsorships, monetary, and product donations, including COVID-19 and fire relief-focused efforts. BBP has also created a Nonprofit Choice Awards, which recognizes five nonprofits with a monetary donation at the end of each year. The finalists are nominated by its business customers and selected in an anonymous ballot sent to all of its employees.
