Hewlett Packard is in a state of transition as it prepares to split into two separate organizations. When the split does take place later this year, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be a corporate computing and networking company selling servers, data center hardware and more. HP Inc. will be the printing and PC company. The technology giant continues its path to maintaining stability by cutting costs and streamlining research and development. But in one of its largest acquisitions in recent history, HP just bought Aruba Networks in a deal valued at $3 billion. Aruba provides wifi networking to college campuses, hotels and shopping malls. Although PC sales are stabilizing, HP is still lagging behind Chinese rival Lenovo.
