    The Italy-based investment firm holds major stakes in a number of companies, including automaker Fiat (about 30%) and real-estate services provider C&W Group (about 68%). Fiat made a splash this year by agreeing to pay $4.35 billion to purchase the part of U.S. automaker Chrysler that it didn’t already own. Fiat Chrysler has performed well so far in the U.S., with total sales rising 13% for the first five months of 2014.
