Germany’s largest utility, E.ON, fell three spots on this year’s list as its revenue dropped by 4.2%. E.ON says it expects as much as a 33% decline in profits this year. E.ON said it would shutter more than a quarter of its European plants as it looks to expand its presence in the renewables market and strike up a partnership with solar power firm Sungevity.
