Home Depot has been on a hot streak in the last couple of years, riding the improving housing market that has prompted millions of customers to undertake home renovations and major projects, or hire small contractors to do them. The world’s largest home improvement retailer has also been masterful at launching successful in-house brands like Behr Marquee interior paint and a cordless lawn mower, helping it outperform archrival Lowe’s quarter after quarter on the watch of former CEO Frank Blake. But looking ahead, all eyes will be on Craig Menear, Blake’s successor, to see if he can keep Home Depot’s growth story going
