The nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative reported a steep 14% drop in revenue for the first six months of its fiscal 2015, which runs from Sept. 1 through Feb. 28. Revenue was stung by lower average selling prices for a handful of commodities the company handles, including grain, fertilizer and processed grains. Over the same period, net income slipped 6% due to lower earnings from the company’s energy businesses.
