With $25 billion brands like Pantene, Crest and Tide, P&G once again claims its title as the world’s largest consumer products company. Although sales were nearly flat at $84.2 billion in fiscal 2013, CEO Alan G. Lafley has made progress on his mission to improve productivity and cut costs. Last year, the company delivered $1.2 billion in cost savings and improved manufacturing productivity by 7%, which helped boost 2013 profits to $11.3 billion, or 5% higher than the previous year.
