Commercial airplane sales led growth in 2013 for the Chicago-based aerospace company, which saw profits jump 17% from 2012 to $4.6 billion. In addition to an increase in revenue from the commercial airline business, Boeing saw a slight uptick from its defense, space, and security divisions. In 2014, Boeing looks to be trying to save money on labor costs, and recently announced plans to move 400 jobs from Washington to Alabama to save more than $100 million annually.
