ADIDAS BROOKLYN CREATOR FARM
The adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm is one of three global innovation centers fueling the adidas brand for the future. The 20,000-square-foot space features a high-tech maker lab and large collaborative spaces affectionately deemed “Disneyland for designers.” The Farm is also home to S.E.E.D, adidas’ School for Experiential Education in Design, a paid two-year university-alternative footwear design program for women from diverse backgrounds, convened in partnership with the Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. Visit the adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm to engage with emerging design talent and to take part in a mini S.E.E.D. “Creator Camp,” an immersive experience that will help you master your creator within.
NEWLAB @BROOKLYN NAVY YARD

The organization supports a community of entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, and inventors through investment, venture building, and innovation studios, which drive structured collaboration and pilot activity with industry and government partners. We’re still catching up to the future of work. Organizations across industries and sectors are navigating new landscapes of collaboration, new demands for autonomy, and new opportunities to empower employees and teams. Remote-first or hybrid working models are not just a matter of policy, but of the digital, physical, virtual, social, and mental environments that must be intentionally built. How might we construct workspaces that work for everyone? How do we integrate workspaces for connected and coherent culture? How do we design for flexibility, so that employees can chart their own paths and define new modes of productivity and success? Join us for a discussion on creating the workspaces of tomorrow, by embracing and learning from the future we are living today.

Among the most important lessons learned by the business world during the COVID-19 pandemic: the need to build more resilient organizations. Enter Business Design—with its focus not only on customer experience, but also on the business need and broader cultural concern to create value while benefiting customers, employees, and society. IBM’s Institute of Business Value recently found organizations that fully embraced Business Design are significantly better positioned to respond to shifting marketplace demands and thrive during uncertainty and disruption; companies that did so experienced 58% higher revenue growth in the first half of 2021 than companies that did not. In this session, we’ll offer insights from this research and hear from leaders who are putting these strategies and practices to work to embrace change and thrive amid uncertainty.
