Tyson FoodsRANK270
Despite plant closures and mass COVID-19 infections in its workforce, Tyson, the biggest meat producer in the U.S., ended the 2020 fiscal year with net revenues of $43.2 billion, a nearly 2% increase from 2019. After discontinuing a patty made of a mix of real beef and pea protein launched in 2019, Tyson recently debuted an expanded selection of 100% vegan products, including plant-based ground beef, bratwurst, and Italian sausage. The launch comes as the company pushes to gain market share in the plant-based foods market dominated by Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods.
