As a rare disease pharmacy, Pantherx aims to address fragmented care and financial barriers that delay or interrupt critical treatments that could save lives. Its specialty pharmacy focuses on rare and orphan diseases and serves patients, manufacturers, prescribers, and payers. Founded in a Pittsburgh garage in 2011, Pantherx increases the value of rare disease therapy by connecting scientific innovation with patient access. In July, global private equity firm Warburg Pincus announced it would purchase a controlling interest in Pantherx and preserve its patient-first model.
