Nandina REM

With retired aircraft sitting in deserts, jungles, and storage yards, Singaporean startup Nandina REM specializes in recycling materials such as carbon fiber these aircraft to adapt and reuse in demanding industrial applications. For example, it repurposes aviation-grade aluminum panels to be used for electric-vehicle battery casings. Nandina is also researching how to develop car components from materials such as repurposed plastics. In February 2026, Nandina opened a recycled carbon-fiber facility at the Tai Seng Exchange, an industrial development in Singapore. The carbon-fiber facility will integrate custom-engineering production lines with advanced quality testing to create fiber for manufacturing applications in aerospace, defense, and energy.
