China-based Envision Energy engages in researching, designing, developing, and manufacturing low-speed wind turbines. In June 2026 the company unveiled an initiative called Mission Gobi to create clean energy for the new computing demands of datacenters. The Envision Galaxy Campus, an AI data center in Ulanqab that will scale to over 2 gigawatts in capacity to support up to a million chips simultaneously. It draws on renewable energy sources such as wind and solar rather than existing grid capacity. Envision also improves on grid pricing with its wind farms by using AI-enabled forecasting. With Mission Gobi, Envision wants to build 5 gigawatts of green AI computing capacity in desert and arid regions around the world by 2030.
