As we look toward reopening, what will—and should—work look like this fall and on into 2021?

Well, what I like about my job? What is not to like about my job? This job is fantastic and I wouldn't want anything else in the world. [ MUSIC ] My career path is probably a little bit different than those who graduated from college today. Because I started with enterprise holdings directly out of college 37 years ago. Enterprise was introduced to me as a small regional company, but a growth company and they had a management training program and that was the kind of opportunity I was looking for, to work my way up into management. And hopefully with a company that was growing and that had good opportunities for the future. It's important to have a strong work ethic to have good ethics and perform. I mean performance is the bottom line in any company to be able to work your way up, you have to be able to perform. But for me, I think what I Specifically did was each step along the way, I wanted to make sure that I was developing the best people, and I was making sure that I had a succession plan. Because how am I gonna get promoted if I don't have someone that can take over for me and do an even better job than I did along the way? [ MUSIC ] I have to say it was later in my career that I Looked far enough ahead to say I could be a CEO and that's something that I would want to do. I thought I had made it. I had done it all in and that I was gonna retire as a general manager in New York. But then I did get tapped to consider coming back to St. Louis. And that was really when I started thinking that there was more beyond then the just the general manager. Spot, there was some doubt, there's always a little bit of doubt. What if you don't succeed in that next spot? Those were the challenges that I had to overcome was, each step along the way, calming the nerves and be willing to push myself into saying yes, I would like to do that position. And I believe I can make it happen. [ BLANK_AUDIO ]
