Aboitiz Equity Ventures is the publicly-listed arm of the Aboitiz Group, a Filipino conglomerate with interests in power (AboitizPower), banking (UnionBank), food (Pilmico and Gold Coin), infrastructure (Aboitiz InfraCapital), land and digital innovation. The company’s roots start in the late 1800s as a hemp trading house. Over a century since the company’s formal incorporation in 1920, AEV is transitioning to become a “techglomerate” by adapting to the mindset and practices of startup culture.
