“There are so many reasons why I love working for Acuity! It’s a place where I can be myself, feel comfortable asking questions, and be treated as a valuable part of the team, all with less than a year of tenure. I can request and be assigned to projects that coincide with my interests and skills to help me grow in the company and as a person. Also, Acuity supports my involvement in the community, whether it’s as a Girl Scout or Junior Achievement volunteer, a member of a local young professional organization, or a part-time student. I was nominated for a local award and our CEO offered to sponsor a table at the event purely so I could be supported by my coworkers. I’ve also had the opportunity to act in Acuity movies that are created for agent education. Acuity really cares about and invests in their employees, which gives me pride and confidence in my job, my coworkers, and my life.

“We have an amazing culture! We have a casual atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and supported working with anyone in the company. Everyone here is welcoming and cares about their fellow coworkers. We have happy hour every other Thursday at our home office, as well as two rock climbing walls, a new convenience store, and a Ferris wheel going in soon. Acuity also has a 5 Year Club exclusively for new hires to get to know the company, attend free events, and make friends. All of these things facilitate an open, safe, and fun environment that leads to high achievement and great results. Acuity always thinks out of the box to create a space where employees can excel at their job while having a work-life balance. Many people have even found their best friends or significant others while working here. Our flexible scheduling options empower employees to determine their own hours and allow them to take off on Friday afternoons to enjoy the summer weather and spend time with their families. I’m so thankful for the culture we have here.”

“The company offers free exercise classes taught by personal trainers that I try to attend every week. The exercise facility helps me stay fit, especially when there is chocolate, popcorn, and free food everywhere. We have a recently upgraded subsidized cafeteria where I can have a gourmet omelette for breakfast, a beautiful salad for lunch, and a cookie for an afternoon snack. We currently have a theme day series going on where employees can suggest dress up days and are rewarded with free breakfast, lunch, and snacks, as well as selecting a food to be available in the cafeteria if their idea is chosen. My ‘Work Out Wednesday’ request was recently selected and they served boneless chicken wings. If all of the summer picnics, Christmas parties, and monthly events weren’t enough, we have fantastic healthcare benefits and extremely generous 401(k) contributions. Further, I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the education reimbursement program this fall when I will begin to pursue my MBA. There is something for everyone here and there is no end to the benefits, programs, and perks Acuity provides.”
