“I feel as though Publix still believes in the American Dream as George Jenkins would have wanted. My store manager started as a cashier, I began with my first high school job as a bagger 8 years ago and now I plan on retiring with the company-the possibilities here are endless. We started from humble beginnings and we have not compromised that for the sake of growth. We take care of employees with benefits like I have never seen before this. I began my yolk at 18 years old thanks to Publix. My favorite thing about Publix though: our desire to be better-to seek improvement and be open to change. The associate has a voice at Publix — and that makes me feel valued as a person,” says one millennial associate.

According to another millennial, “Publix has a lot of opportunities for advancement. I think it’s great that they only promote within the company giving anyone a fair chance at building a career with the company no matter what your schooling background is or where you’ve previously have worked.”
