“Having Management engage in me personally makes a big difference in the way that I perceive my work area. I have never had managers make it a priority to get to know me personally. I appreciate the intentional effort to ask about my family and give me time with my family so that my entire life is in balance. I recently had a wedding and of the 150 people that were there about 30 of them were from my company, ” explains one millennial employee.
Says another millennial: “Perhaps the most unique aspect of working for this company is the opportunity to learn from everyone on the site regardless of their position or your own. As a new comer to the construction company, I came in with very little knowledge of construction management as opposed to the design knowledge I have obtained in college. Although I am oversee several people in my line of work, I still learn so much from laborers out in the field. It is probably the best part of my job. Given the opportunity to learn from everyone.”
