“The Ferris Bueller Day perk is so nice,” says a millennial at this digital advertising firm. “In my past jobs, simply scheduling a dentist appointment could be stressful because of unreasonable time-off policies. Ferris Bueller Days make the unexpected moments in life much more manageable.”
According to another millennial employee: “I came from working with a large corporation and working at Centro feels intimate even though we employ around 600 people (I believe). We are kept in the loop on virtually everything—with our all hands sales calls and emails directly from Shawn. I’ve never felt so connected or part of something before (not just a cog in the machine). The benefits here are great, as well. You can tell a lot of thought was given to treating us like people—with lives and families and friends and human needs. I’m not made to feel bad about taking time off nor do I feel like I have to justify why I’m using the time. They make it very clear from the beginning that the expectation is for you to work hard but also to balance your life—to explore all ‘sides’ of yourself and use each to fuel and accelerate the next.”
