    Workers at this North Texas hospital system have plenty of chances to give back to patients and other people in need. Through an annual fundraising drive, employees have contributed more than $8 million over the past 13 years for projects such as clinics for uninsured patients, therapy gardens, and programs for cancer patients. “You go in as strangers and you come out as family,” says Kathy Hardcastle, a human resources officer, of her time volunteering with Camp Bluebonnet, a retreat for adult cancer survivors.
