    To celebrate employees’ contributions throughout the year, and the anniversary of the company wellness program, this massive hospital system foot the bill for workers to receive a new pair of athletic shoes from Zappos. Nearly 18,000 workers took advantage of the offer, and the company also organized charity walks and asked associates to use the intranet to share inspiring stories of “where their shoes would take them.” Employees across the system on every shift are treated to a catered hot meal around the holidays, and those who don’t work in the company’s traditional, physical sites receive a gift card to a local restaurant.
