No longer a partnership, but Wall Street investment banker still calls its top people “partners.” The firm has 467 partners, each one earning well more than $1 million a year. The non-partners do pretty well here too. Since 1994 Goldman has awarded stock grants to 18,430 U.S. employees who had never previously been shareholders. The company has also launched Talks@GS, which invites prominent thinkers to share ideas with employees.
