Now in its third year, Fortune Brainstorm Design quickly has become a leading international forum at the intersection of design, business, and technology. Our 2022 theme, “Embracing Radical Transformation,” reflects the power of design to shape our future at a moment where both business and society have been upended by powerful dynamics, from a global pandemic and a reckoning over racial justice to a volatile economy and the tightening grip of climate change.
The conference brings together design leaders and design-minded executives across business, non-profit, and academia to explore the ways design needs to shift to drive radical transformation in business today. Programming for the event will actively engage this highly creative audience, with the aim to present fresh perspectives and case studies of innovative design work, and to generate authentic conversations that will positively impact how our community will design and lead our way into the future. Key themes we’ll explore include: how work and the workplace can be reimagined; the competition for talent; digital shifts and emerging technologies; designing equitable products and communities; and building sustainability and resilience into our work.
Speakers include: Chike Aguh, Chief Innovation Officer, U.S. Department of Labor; Katrina Alcorn, General Manager, Design, IBM; Slava Balbek, Ukrainian Architect; Founder and CEO, Balbek Bureau; Valerie Casey, Senior Vice President and Chief Design Officer, Walmart; Paul Dillinger, Vice President, Head of Global Product Innovation, Levi Strauss & Co.; Phil Duncan, Chief Design Officer, Procter & Gamble; Aziz Hasan, Design Executive, Illustrator; Former CEO, Kickstarter; Kat Holmes, Senior Vice President, Product Design, Salesforce; Jessica Orkin, Chief Executive Officer, SY Partners; Joanna Peña-Bickley, Founder, Designed By Us, Head of Research and Design, Alexa Devices, Amazon; Nina Walia, Entrepreneur-in-Residence & Senior Advisor, White House Presidential Innovation Fellows; Susie Wise, Adjunct Professor, Stanford University d.school, Author, Design for Belonging; Joann Wu, Vice President, Head of Design, Uber; and more.
