Chris Evans Is Hollywood’s Best Bang for the Buck

For the second year in a row, Chris Evans is Hollywood’s actor who delivers the best payoff at the box office.

The star of Captain America: Civil War brought in an average of $135.80 for every $1 he was paid in 2016, a Forbes analysis found.

Evans was followed by Chris Pratt, who garnered a return of $125.40 for every dollar of his salary. Pratt recently starred in Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Scarlett Johansson placed third and was the best-paid actress on Forbes’ list. Johansson brought in $88.60 for every dollar she was paid, thanks to her starring roles in Lucy and Marvel movies. She was followed by Bad Moms star Mila Kunis, who brought in $49.50 for every dollar of her salary, and Vin Diesel, whose performance in Furious 7 helped him garner $32 for every dollar he was paid.

 

On the other end of the spectrum, Forbes ranked Johnny Depp as Hollywood’s most overpaid actor for the second year in a row. His last three movies—including Alice Through the Looking Glass and Mortdecai—flopped at the box office, returning just $2.80 for every dollar he was paid.
