NFL commissioner Roger Goodell made $34.1 million in compensation in 2014, based on a tax filing released by the NFL on Tuesday.
That number means Goodell made more money than any player in the league that season, with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the highest-paid NFL star, bringing in a $22 million salary.
Goodell’s compensation package includes a $3.5 million salary, a $26.5 million bonus and $3.7 million in retirement benefits, according to the New York Times.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports Goodell, in his first nine years as NFL commissioner dating back to 2006, has made $180.5 million. Goodell made about $35 million in 2013.
NFL general counsel Jeff Pash was reportedly the league’s next-highest paid employee in 2014, making $7.51 million.
